Good morning all,
I received a note yesterday informing me that QuicKutz is discontinuing their Ambassador program. I was so sorry to hear the news. It has been quite an experience for me! I so appreciate the opportunity to have been given one of the "Big 8" positions. It was quite an honor. I wish QuicKutz well in the new year and hope you will all continue to "Die Cut With Style" Blessings, Melin

One Page Holly and Flourishes Layout
This one page layout is actually very simple.
It is the beautiful paper by Websters Pages that really makes this page. I just cut the holly cluster and flourishes from my cutter. I used ink, chalks and stickles to dress up the holly cluster and the flourishes.

FREE GSD CUPCAKE FILE
Good morning all,
As my last post indicated we just finished the Party Princess class yesterday. I also mentioned in the post that my bear and cupcake were cut on the Silhouette. I created these files directly in the Silhouette.
I have decided to start trying to give away different gsd files when I can. To get your FREE cupcake gsd file, just become a follower of my blog, send me an email and I will email you the file directly :-)
I don't have any download file places set up for this blog yet, but when I do, you won't have to email me a request! But in the meantime, just send me the email that you've become a follower and I will send you the FREE gsd file!
Thanks for following and happy Paper Crafting!

Party Princess Class Layout
Good morning All,
I just wanted to share a class project we did yesterday. It was the Party Princess Layout. It was a lot of fun. The students were allowed to pick different embossing templates to emboss their balloons with. They also pieced together the little bear and cupcake. The Quickutz products I used were as follows:

- The large wavy border for the top borders
- The small wavy border for the balloon strings

A New Card
Good morning All,
I just wanted to share a card I did using some of the Quickutz products I have. The Flower petals were created and cut with the Silhouette. After cutting them, I used Glimmer mist to "paint" them. I love the water color look and the soft shimmer of using this product. The center of the flower was the small bottle cap die. I used it to cut out FELT. One of the great advantages to the die cutting system is being able to cut out much more than just paper! The felt was the perfect touch for the center as it was moldable around a large pop-up glue dot. I added some distress stickles to give it that finished look.
Next I used the diamond shaped 2x2 dies to cut out the patterned paper. I glued them to the bottom of my card and then cut out the bottom half around the diamond shapes for some additional visual interest.

Yellow Rose Thank You Card
Good morning all,
I am posting one of my first creations for this blog. It is a Thank You card. I used this great Yellow Rose Quickutz die. It is an exclusive die. If you would like to know how to get one, just email me and I will give you the details. I also used the Texas State shaped die, the 12" beads cookie cutter die and the photo corner die. I finished off the card with dew drops in the centers of each of the circles on the border.
The yellow rose was a bit challenging to piece together. BUT with some patience you can have a fantastic flower. The die comes with enough pieces for a full flower as well as a rose bud and even a little bumble bee.
